Autograph letter by Mary White of Liverpool signed to Robert Aisable

Mary White explains why is she unable “to remit you the proceeds of some Slaves sold by my brother, John Roberts, at Jamaica, for account of the late Mr. Thomas Knight.... The Bills...were protested for non payment, as also were those for the Cargo of Slaves.” Her brother has gone out to Jamaica to try and resolve matters. When he has done so, “I doubt not he will order you payment of the Slaves you mention.” Docketed, “Concerning Ric’d Wilding Esq.”
