Autumn in the Highlands

Fripp travelled the mountainous regions of Wales and Scotland in the 1850s and 60s, and this watercolour may have been made during this time. This is one of 30 watercolours donated to the Walker Art Gallery by Henry S Young, on behalf of his late father Harold E Young in 1931.
