Axe. Marked in black ink with a find number by the excavator. From the Egypt Exploration Society 1963-64 excavations at the fortress site of Buhen in Lower Nubia (northern Sudan). Find no. 1637 L10-72: found between the north colonnade and New Kingdom temple wall, near the surface. CONDITION NOTE (1998): Heavily corroded, fresh corrosion?, concretions.
