Azarias

'Ananias' and 'Azarias' (LL 3636 and LL 3637) are large studies relating to designs made by Burne-Jones for the stained glass windows at All Saints Church, Middleton Cheney in Northamptonshire. They represent two of the three Jews thrown into the fiery furnace for refusing to worship Nebuchadnezzar's golden image. The two men, better known as Shadrach and Abednego, were miraculously unharmed.
