Ball

32.12.78.6

Information

Roughly round in profile, sewn at the edges, now rather flattened with a lot of loose stuffing material. The ball has split in places revealing the stuffing of plant fibre (straw?) Difficult to date because there is no information about the provenance. However, compare with a Middle Kingdom example in William Matthew Flinders Petrie, 'Kahun, Gurob and Hawara', (London, 1890) p.28.
