Baluster vase with wooden lid

Vase with wooden lid, of baluster form with spreading base: cut down at the neck. Buff stoneware with designs of blossoming prunus trees in applied relief with coloured glazes: the stem aubergine and turquoise, the blossom white. The ground of the vase is a soft peacock-blue, minutely crackled.
