Base for a Model Figure

Piece of plastered wood (coffin fragment?) that has been described as a base for a model or part of a model. From Beni Hasan, cemetery below the Middle Kingdom rock-cut tombs: excavated by John Garstang of the Liverpool Institute of Archaeology, 1902-1904. CONDITION NOTE (1998): Extensive old infestation, very fragile, dry, surface dirt, surface loss.
