Purchased at Stevens's, London, 9-10 September 1930 lot 729: "Four pre-Dynastic shell armlets, iron implement (rare), 2 stone carving, Coptic wooden lid, and other objects from Egypt (Vienna Museum)". Previously in the collections of K.k. Naturhistorisches Hofmuseum, Vienna.
