Information

Blue glazed faience amulet of a standing female lion-headed deity left foot forward, hands by side, wig and uraeus. There is a suspension loop at the back. From excavated group 380. Accompanied by a label handwritten in pencil: "Figure of the goddess Bast/ or Bastet /Patronness of Hunting/. Kafr Ammar XXIII dyn." Top and bottom line appear to be written by W. M. Flinders Petrie.
