Bastet Figure

Bronze figure of the goddess Bastet depicted as a woman with a cat’s head, wearing a long garment. Across her chest Bastet carries an aegis or broad collar (menat), surmounted by a lion goddess' head wearing a sun disc. Over her left arm she carries a basket. The right arm is broken at the elbow. Both ears seem have been pierced. Tang at the base. CONDITION NOTE 1998: Incomplete, corroded, surface dirt.
