Bead

Blue glazed round bead (or sequin), pierced in three points, glaze is worn and some damage to edges. Glued to card by Flaxman Spurrell with other amulets and beads excavated by Flinders Petrie at Tell el Amarna in 1892 to illustrate jewellery types. Annotated in red "TELL EL AMARNA. D.XVIII. Dug up by Petrie. F.C.J.S'.
