Bead (Forgery)

Ivory bead inscribed on one side with two cartouches of Taharqa and on the other with lotus and papyrus flowers. Broken at one end. Previously identified as a knife handle. Pronounced as a forgery by Dr Samuel Birch of the British Museum. Marked in ink 30 or 36. Ex Baron Fejérváry collection.
