Fragments of a funerary shroud constructed of tubular faience beads strung together in a net pattern, that would have been placed over the outer wrappings of a mummified body. Consists ot a large part of a collar of cylinder beads; and fragments of other parts of the net. The thread seems to be original.
Mounted within a glass fronted box with display label that reads: BEAD-WORK FROM A MUMMY COVERING. M.C.11981". This is how the objects was displayed before 1939 when the object was evacuated out of the museum at the outbreak of the Second World War (Air Raid Protection no. 1214).
