Fragments of a funerary shroud constructed of tubular faience beads strung together in a net pattern, that would have been placed over the outer wrappings of a mummified body. Consists ot a large part of a collar of cylinder beads; and fragments of other parts of the net. Thread seems to be original. Mounted within a glass fronted box with display label that reads: BEAD-WORK FROM A MUMMY COVERING. M.C.11981". This is how the objects was displayed before 1939 when the object was evacuated out of the museum at the outbreak of the Second World War.
