Loose beads of carnelian and jasper. Unthreaded from various necklaces about 1870 to remove gold pendants etc that were forgeries, by the Revd. Greville John Chester. One bead is labelled '198'. Joseph Mayer’s catalogue for the object reads: “198. Necklace, of gold and carnelian....” (1852 p. 17).
