Information

Two carnelian beads, each inscribed. Not recorded as forgeries by Percy Newberry or Eric Peet who catalogued in the collection about 1910. They are similar to the large group of carnelian beads that were modern forgeries acquired from Joseph Sams. Note on the Gatty slip, "Forgeries ( W. M. F. Petrie)".
