Eight carnelian beads inscribed with hieroglyphs and pronounced as forgeries by Revd. Greville John Chester in the 1870s. Two feature the same inscription for an overseer called Amenhotep and were thought to be genuine by Percy Newberry (see catalogue card) Acquired from Joseph Sams (Sams catalogue p. 62, no. 271). Not stringed together.
