A carnelian cylinder bead. Mentioned in Mayer's 1852 catalogue as part of a necklace. Pronounced a forgery by Revd. Greville John Chester in the 1870s. Acquired from Joseph Sams. Gatty Slip record: "Colquitt St. catalogue p. 18 no. 203".
