Information

Beaker, one of a pair (to LL 5901), with slender baluster body, high shoulders, tall neck, with wide trumpet-shaped mouth; bell-shaped foot. Down the sides are four ribs cut in cloud pattern. Decorated in cloisonné enamels with lotus scrolls with flowers in blue, red white, and yellow in a turquoise-blue ground. Under the base has been incised the mark of the Jingtai period (1450-1456 AD) in four characters, but the date of manufacture is about 1600.
