Information

Beaker, with shape derived from the gu (an ancient Chinese bronze vessel used for serving heated wine on formal occasions), with bulbous stem and flaring mouth. On the bulb are three lotus sprays. On the stem and neck are designs of prunus and bamboo modelled in low relief and painted in blue in a ground of pale starch-blue glaze. Mark of a fungus under base.
