Belt

A five part, hinged iron belt piece, which would be worn across the waist with a chain or tablet woven braid. A pendant would be attached to the loop at the centre. The belt is decorated with an abstract floral border, this encloses an openwork scroll design. Although separated from the belt, there is a long (broken) metal rope chain, that has traces of gilt, it is documented as having been attached to this belt.
