Belt fragment

Single clasp from a "Samnite belt," has elongated, spear point shaped hook with grooves on upper surface, and thin, flat attachment plate with eight scalloped outline and upper surface engraved with a simple palmette. Plate was attached to the end of a belt with two small rivets through the first two palmette segments.
