Quillwork belt. Band of rolled quillwork with pattern of cream and red-brown outlined with dark brown. At one end 3 metal cones containing hair, at side 1 string of 16 black & white glass beads also 5 others detached. Quillwork is a form of textile embellishment traditionally practiced by Indigenous North Americans utilising the quills of porcupines, and occasionally bird feathers.
