Bird Figure

This brass figure of a chicken may have been made for sale. It was described as 'modern work' and was probably recently made when it was given to the steam ship engineer Arnold Ridyard for the museum in 1904. It was presented by Mr E. H. Johnstone, who may have been a trader with business interests in Benin.
