Black Topped Jar

Red with black top pottery vase of miniature size. Surface is in poor condition. Compare shape with W. M. F. Petrie, ‘Prehistoric Egypt Corpus’ (London, 1921) 24a. CONDITION NOTE 1998: Surface loss, chipped, surface dirt. Wellcome Historical Medical Museum: 212886. Purchased at Stevens Auction House Ltd. 29 July 1930 lot 497 (collector not recorded). Presumed to be from Egypt.
