Pottery model of a boat with red paint and three carved holes. Marked in red 1613 and in pencil MWC. Compare with very similar objects in Cairo's Egyptian Museum from Saqqara, dated to the Old Kingdom.
Wellcome Historical Medical Museum accession no. 22931. Two pottery model sarcophagus 4 1/2" x 2 1/4". Purchased at Stevens's Auction Rooms, London, 23 November 1920 Lot 383: "Two model boats, curious terra-cotta animal, Roman lamp, bone carving and other antiquities".
