Glass pouch bottle (Harden Class VII, a, 4). Glass pale olive (golden green) with small air bubbles and very clear blowing spirals. Rim outbent, inward folded and not flattened: body globular with round base. Glass very thin and decayed, with iridescent patches. Decorated on body with one set of zig-zag trails, then trail carried spirally up around neck, wound eight times and finished off on rim by smoothing. Only slight wear on rim. This vessel was found by the Reverend Bryan Faussett in Grave 28 at Barfriston Down, at the foot of a child's skeleton.
