A small jar with two handles resembling an amphora. This shape of this bottle is sometimes called an amphoriskos (from Greek, “small amphora”) and was used for perfume or oil. Core-formed manufacture. Dark blue glass, rippled body with six yellow zig-zag trails and a horizontal yellow trail below. Handles in dark blue glass. CONDITION NOTE 1998: Previous repair, pitted, surface dirt, surface cracks, large area of fill.
