Coarse red pottery bowl. Marked with an excavation find number but largely obscured beneath 73 x 40 mm auction sticker. Marked with the collector number in black 2184. Same type of bowl as 1973.1.390. Purchased at Sotheby's, London, 26 June - 6 July 1922 (MacGregor Collection) Lot 1701/20: "Twenty miscellaneous Vases, etc, chiefly in unglazed pottery, from very early sites, comprising Bowls, Ampullae, a Cake-stamp and other pieces".
