Bowl

Bowl, one of a pair (to LL 6151), with wavy edge, the lower part moulded in petal-shaped panels. Inside, a medallion with three boys playing. Border of cash pattern. Outside, four groups of ladies in garden setting, representing the four liberal accomplishment; zither-playing, chess, calligraphy, and painting. In the petals are growing flowers. A six character mark in a double ring, written in li (clerical script), which reads 'treasure of the weird rocks and precious vessels'.
