Bowl with inverted rim. Trace of blue excavation marks inside. Auction label adhered to the surface "959/6". Marked with McGregor collection no. 3926. CONDITION NOTE 1998: Previous repair and fill, chipped around break edges, holed and pitted, surface dirt, labels adhered to surface. Wellcome Historical Medical Museum no. 157341/2: "Bowl as photo 2, in alabaster. 1¾" high. 4" diameter. Mc3926. Lot 569." Purchased at Sotheby's, London, 26 June - 6 July 1922 (William MacGregor collection) Lot 959/6: "An alabaster Vase with lid, of flattened hemispherical form, 2 3/4 in. high by 5 1/2 in. diam.; another, but without lid, 1 3/4 in. high by 4 1/8 in. diam.; a cylindrical flat-bottomed Vase, of banded arragonite, 1 5/8 in. high by 3 in. diam.; a Vase, with rounded body and neck widening towards the lip, 2 in. high by 2 1/2 in. diam.; and a Libation Vase, in the same material, 3 7/8 in. high; found at Thebes."
