Pottery bowl wih a flat base. Marked in ink "Buhen / L / 36 / 1". From Buhen, the former ancient Egyptian fortress outpost in Lower Nubia (Sudan) that in 1964 was entirely submerged beneath the reservoir waters behind the Aswan High Dam. 


CONDITION NOTE (1998): Chipped rim long open running crack from rim, pitted, abraded surface, discolouration, surface dirt.
