Pottery bowl. Marked in ink "Buhen 1963-64 No. 56". From Buhen, the former ancient Egyptian fortress outpost in Lower Nubia (Sudan) that in 1964 was entirely submerged beneath the reservoir waters behind the Aswan High Dam.
