
Bowl Incribed for Menkheper

Limestone bowl, possibly a mortar, broken and mended from four pieces with a section missing. An inscription on the side reads "the servant Menkheper". The object was excavated in an area of the North Suburb, in the servant's quarters to the north of a house (U35.26) during the 1928-9 excavations of the Egypt Exploration Society (excavation number 29/276).
