Cylindrical pyxis (box) with lid. Figured decoration, executed in light red-brown paint with band of tongue pattern on lid, base painted in brown with reserved bands. Main scene: A Doric column, representing a house. To the right, a young man, semi-draped, seated on a stool, a three-legged table in front of him. He holds a staff in his left hand, and with his right stretches out towards a female figure, simply dressed denoting her servile status. leaning over a pedestalled bowl. Style: Archaic red-figure. Technique: similar to black-figure, but with reserved lines in place of incised lines.
