Box

Small lidded box, known as a pyxis. it has a small ring base outlined in brown circular bands and there is a small band of rays right above the base The vessel has decoration of the black-figure on a yellowish ground. The decoration shows a row of five armed warriors with trees or leaf patterns in between them. Details of the shields and the faces of the warriors as well the trees are were scratched on the surface of the vessel. The lid has decoration of circular bands in yellow creamy slip and there are also some traces of brown decoration. An area of the lids has a deep groove with some surface lost.
