Round brooch of the type conventionally known as a 'saucer brooch' with a raised rim and a flat central body. Saucer brooches were often set in cast. The decoration is of a thick band of short parallel lines all around the central motif of a five ray star with a circle and a dot in its middle. This object was found in Grave 6 at Kemble, one of a group of 26 Anglo-Saxon graves.
