Information

Drago or serpentine fibula. Simplified drago type fibula, now represented only by fragments of its knobbed bow, preserving four pairs of knobs on a thick, angular bow, all solid cast. Preserves part of bow. Serpentine fibulas frequently were used for men’s clothing, and occasional finds of them in women’s tombs have been interpreted as grave offerings (probably of actual clothing) by the widowed husband.
