Bryson collection: Mersey Docks and Harbour Company

The documents are part of the Bryson Collection, purchased by National Museums Liverpool in 1978 from the collector Joe Bryson. It is not known how the papers came into his hands. This part of the collection consists of the papers of Mersey Docks and Harbour Company, formerly Mersey Docks and Harbour Board (MDHB) prior to 1972. It is now owned by Peel Ports. Related material can be found at the Maritime Archives & Library which houses the Bryson Maritime Business Collections, and at the reserve store where the Bryson Non-Maritime Business records, including Roby & Utley and Union Marine, and family papers can be found.
