A wooden gable peak mask for a meeting house carved from a rectangular piece of wood with a slightly concave back. The beaked mouth has two tongues protruding to each side and carved with large shallow grooves. The large, circular eyes are shell-inlaid discs. The surface carving includes a large plain grooved double spiral on the forehead and two others at the corners of the mouth, and rauponga (several parallel ridges and grooves with a notched ridge in between).
