Cairo, Indian Hospital (1940)

Edward Bawden (1903 - 1983) produced three other pictures showing the same Indian Hospital in Cairo, all of which now in the collection of the Imperial War Museum (LD 1021, LD 1022, LD 1023). They were all drawn with a very similar technique; a strong pen outline washed over in monochrome.
