Calotes versicolor Daudin, 1802

Small-headed lizard with laterally compressed body with dorsal crest of thin, pointed horny scales, tail long terminating in slender tip. Coloration of upper parts ranges from bright green to light brown depending on the state of stress of the animal. Total length 30-49 cm.
