Candleholder

Candleholder, one of a pair (to LL 6765), designed as figures of women, holding decorated vases in right and left hands respectively. Painted in famille rose enamels with gilding. Black hair dressed to points at back and tied with bow in front. White dress closely patterned with small pink rose sprays, inset with large gilt medallions of green lotus scrolls with red flowers, and edged with narrow red borders drawn in gold; over this, a large coral red sash tied with ribbon; white underskirt with similar medallions, band of lotus scroll-work and bats in red.
