Canoe stern post

A stern post (taurapa) for a model canoe. A flat, roughly rectangular, piece of wood with pierced work based on spirals (pitau) and two manaia with elongated bodies in the main section. The main surface decoration is rauponga. The top section is broken at the rear. Some shell inlay is missing from the manaia eyes.
