Stern post (taurapa) for a model canoe. A long, curved rectangular piece of wood with a central section pierced at intervals by rectangles, joined by groups of pakati. There are five double spirals each side of this together with long oval sections of ridges and pakati. The base of the post has a tiki head and two manaia, one on each side. Traces of red and black paint remain on the carving. The base is broken.
