Information
Edwin Moore was a son of the more famous artist William Moore of York; he occasionally exhibited at the RA.
Canongate forms the eastern portion of the Royal Mile and is situated in Edinburgh's Old Town. This drawing shows the toll booth on the right hand side (the building with clock) which was built in 1591. At that time Canongate formed a seperate borough outside the Edinburgh town walls.
