Captains log book for yacht Saide, commanded by Colin Mc Donald, includes list of crew and 4 passengers. Front page states the vessel in on a voyage from Melbourne to Albany, 26 July 1893, but the contents of the log are for a different voyage the following year. Voyage from Southampton 12 May 1894 to Antwerp, Amsterdam, Heligoland, Gotherburg, Copenhagen, Norwegian coast, Faroe Islands. Returns Southampton 28 July 1894. 6 July 1894 passengers Captain Parker and Henry Feilden pick up a Norwegian Professor Peter Oyen from Danes Island. Oyen is a member of the Wellmann Polar Expedition and he elects to remain on the island.
