Cartonnage Fragment

Fragment of linen with alyer of plaster on both sides painted with decoration inclduing part of a scene showing Anubis tending to the dead laid out on a lion-headed bed (bier). Possibly two parts of a panel squashed together to appear as having two decorated sides. CONDITION NOTE (1998): Misshapen, areas of loss, textile fraying and split, pigment loss, cracked surface, surface dirt.
