Fragment of painted cartonnage pierced with holes around the edge. On one side fibre string is still threaded through the holes. This may be the cover from the end of a cartonnage mummy case. One side painted white with decoration in red including hieroglyphic text arranged in columns with standing mummiform figure of jackal headed deity. Other side is plain. CONDITION NOTE (1998): Incomplete, one fragment nearly broken away, cracked in places, black residue on one side, surface dirt, fibres unravelling
