Information
Hollow cast copper alloy head of a cat with inlaid eyes and pierced ears. The hair on the ears and round the mouth is delicately indicated. The mask would have been attached to a wood coffin for a cat. Described by Professor Percy Newberry as being of a "fine technique” and dating to Dynasty 22 or the Saite Period. One ear is chipped and the inlay of the eyes is missing.
