Faliscan cauldron stand (holmos) with flat rim, large regular holes cut through fabric of body.
The material culture of the Faliscans was closely related to that of the Etruscans, their nearest neighbours, but with its own distinct style.
Wellcome Historical Medical Museum registration no. 11190/1936. Small red terracotta stand for cauldron. 30 cms high. Etruscan. Part of a group of antiquities purchased by Sir Henry Wellcome from Evangelista Gorga of Rome, circa January 1924.
